A young kabaddi player named Tejpal was sadly killed in Jagraon, Punjab.

He was attacked by a group of about five or six men who beat him up and then shot him.

This happened in the middle of the day.

The police worked quickly and on Sunday, they arrested two men, Gagandeep Singh and Harpreet Singh, for their involvement.

Police believe the reason for this terrible act was an old disagreement between people.

Tejpal's family was very upset and didn't want to cremate him until the people responsible were caught.

A national minister, Ravneet Singh Bittu, visited the player's family to offer support.

He also spoke about safety in the state, saying that crimes like murder and robbery have gone up.
