Toyota to Build First EV in Europe, Expanding Czech Plant
Toyota is making a big move in Europe!
They are going to start fully producing electric vehicles (EVs) in the Czech Republic.
This is a big step for Toyota, as they are known for hybrid cars.
They are investing a lot of money, around €680 million, to expand the factory and build a new battery assembly wing.
The Czech government is also helping out with up to €64 million.
The plan will create 245 new jobs in addition to the current 3,200 workers.
Although they haven't said which EV model it will be, this signals a bigger push for EVs in Europe.
