Tata Safari petrol: Sluggish start, solid finish
Tata Motors has introduced a new petrol engine in the Safari, which is usually known for its diesel engines.
The new 1.5-litre petrol engine feels a bit slow at the start, but as the turbocharger kicks in, it becomes more powerful.
It's quieter and has less vibrations than the diesel version, making it a good choice for city driving and chauffeur-driven use.
It's also cheaper than the diesel variant, but has lower fuel efficiency.
The main competitor is the Mahindra XUV 7XO petrol, which has a bigger engine but the Safari feels more refined and robust.
