CJI Kant Lauds UP Court Complexes
Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath together started building new court buildings in six places in Uttar Pradesh.
These buildings will have everything needed for courts, like rooms for judges and lawyers, places to stay, and even a small hospital.
The Chief Justice said these buildings will be a good example for the whole country.
They will help people get justice more easily.
The buildings will cost a lot of money, about Rs 1,500 crore, and will be finished by next year.
The Chief Minister said the government will keep building more court buildings in other places too.
Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee urged the judiciary to safeguard the country’s Constitution and democracy, speaking at the inauguration of a permanent building for the Circuit Bench of Calcutta High Court in Jalpaiguri.

The complexes are designed to meet judicial needs for the next 50 years and include modern facilities like courtrooms, advocates' chambers, residences, and a primary health center.
The total cost of the project is approximately Rs 1,500 crore, with the Chandauli complex alone costing around Rs 236 crore.
CJI Kant emphasized the importance of a strong district judiciary in fulfilling the nation's dream of access to justice.
UP CM Adityanath assured that there is no shortage of funds for such projects and highlighted the state's commitment to improving judicial infrastructure.
