Kurnool Intensifies Maternal Health, NCD Screening and Immunisation

Kurnool Intensifies Maternal Health, NCD Screening and Immunisation

Health officials in Kurnool reviewed how well important health programs are working.

They want pregnant women to receive regular check-ups from conception until delivery.

They also want people to understand that child marriage can make pregnancy dangerous.

Everyone over 30 should be checked for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and anemia.

Health workers were asked to vaccinate all eligible girls and women through the free HPV program.

The vaccine helps prevent cervical cancer.

Officials also want earlier detection of diseases such as malaria, dengue and typhoid.

Pregnant women and certain high-risk groups will receive HIV and syphilis testing, and health workers will conduct a door-to-door leprosy survey.
