Turkey Hands Over Second Warship to Pakistan
Turkey gave Pakistan a new warship called PNS Khaibar on December 20, 2025.
This is the second of four advanced ships Turkey is building for Pakistan.
The ships have special weapons and systems to help Pakistan's navy.
Turkey and Pakistan are working closely together on military projects.
This partnership might make things more complicated for India in the Indian Ocean.
Turkey also supported Pakistan during a conflict with India earlier in 2025.
Turkey handed over the second MILGEM-class corvette, PNS Khaibar, to Pakistan on 20 December 2025 in Istanbul.
The ship is equipped with advanced air defence systems, electronic warfare suites, and anti-ship missiles.
This is part of a four-ship deal, with the first ship, PNS Babur, delivered in 2024 and the remaining two to be delivered in 2026 and 2027.
The partnership includes technology transfer, allowing Pakistan to build its own frigates like the Jinnah-class.
The collaboration aligns with Turkey's 'Blue Homeland' doctrine and could impact maritime security in the Indian Ocean.
