Farmers Urged to Register Crop Insurance by July 31
The government of Andhra Pradesh wants all farmers to sign up for crop insurance before July 31.
Crop insurance helps farmers if bad weather like floods or droughts damage their crops.
Farmers can sign up using a phone app or help from local banks and service centers.
They need to bring land records, Aadhaar, and bank details.
The state will also run campaigns to make sure everyone knows about the insurance.
Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister K Atchannaidu urges farmers to complete kharif crop insurance registration by July 31.
Crop insurance protects against droughts, floods, unseasonal rains and other natural calamities.
Registration can be done via PMFBY Crop Insurance Farmer App or through Common Service Centres, banks, PACS, and local officials.
Farmers should prepare land records, Aadhaar, and bank details before applying and keep the acknowledgement receipt.
The state government has simplified the process and will run awareness campaigns to ensure coverage.
