Romanchakam Review: Comedy Sparks Cannot Save Its Weak Romance
Romanchakam is a movie about a young man who falls in love with a girl online.
She later comes to Hyderabad, but then she disappears.
The boy and his friends try to understand what happened.
Some scenes with the friends are funny and entertaining.
The lead actors work well together at first.
However, the love story does not feel deep enough.
The mystery is also not exciting for long.
The review says the movie has a few good laughs but is not a strong romantic thriller.
Romanchakam attempts to combine romance, comedy and thriller elements but works only unevenly.
Sumanth Prabhas plays a young man who falls for Ananthika Sanilkumar through an online connection.
The story shifts when Ananthika’s character, Mythili, goes missing after coming to Hyderabad.
Friendship scenes and banter involving Sumanth’s group provide the film’s strongest comic moments.
The review says the romance lacks emotional depth and the missing-person thriller fails to build lasting tension.
