India-EU sign defence partnership framework

They want to make their countries stronger and safer by sharing technology and working on common problems like terrorism and maritime pollution.
The agreement also includes setting up a forum for businesses from both sides to work together.
They also agreed to have an EU officer in India to help with maritime security.
This agreement is part of a bigger plan to work together until 2030.
The leaders of both India and the EU were happy about this agreement and think it will help make the Indo-Pacific region more peaceful and prosperous.
India and the European Union signed a security and defence partnership framework to deepen ties in defence, security, and counter-terrorism.
The agreement includes setting up an India-EU Defence Industry Forum to bring together businesses from both sides.
An EU Liaison Officer will be positioned at the Indian Navy's Information Fusion Centre-Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) to enhance maritime security coordination.
