Google's Labeling of Pickleball Stars Sparks Debate
Google is identifying famous pickleball players, like Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns, as "internet personalities" instead of pickleball players.
This means that when you search for them on Google, it doesn't say they are pickleball players.
These players are very good at pickleball and have won lots of games!
Some other pickleball players were mistaken for tennis players too.
People are wondering why Google isn't correctly labeling these athletes.
It’s like calling a basketball star a social media person instead of a basketball player.
The athletes’ achievements on the court seem to be overlooked by Google’s descriptions.
Google has mislabeled prominent pickleball players Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns as "internet personalities."
Waters, the PPA Tour No. 1, has won 154 titles.
Ben Johns, the top-ranked doubles player, has over 183 PPA Tour titles.
Other pickleball stars, like Catherine Parenteau and Hunter Johnson, were identified as tennis players.
The mislabeling has sparked debate over Google's categorization of athletes.
