Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India to showcase 560 princely states' legacy
A big museum is being built in Gujarat to show the history and treasures of 560 old royal states in India.
It will have old cars, thrones, and other important things from these royal families.
The museum is being built next to a very tall statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who helped bring these royal states together to form India.
The Indian government and the state government are working together to build this museum, which will cost a lot of money.
It is expected to be finished by 2027.
A Rs 350-crore museum is being built in Kevadia, Gujarat to showcase the legacy of 560 erstwhile princely states of India.
The museum will feature artefacts and documents from the royal families, including vintage cars, royal chariots, thrones, and sculptures.
The foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The project is funded by the Central government (Rs 150 crore) and the state government, with a deadline for completion set for December 2027.
The museum is dedicated to the royal families and will be located next to the Statue of Unity, a tribute to Sardar Patel who integrated the princely states into the Indian union.
