India House Price Growth Slows to 3.6% in Q1FY27
House prices in India continued to rise during the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year.
However, they rose more slowly than they did in the previous quarter.
Prices increased by 3.6% compared with the same period a year earlier.
The RBI’s housing index also rose 1.1% compared with the previous quarter.
Chandigarh, Lucknow and Thiruvananthapuram helped drive this quarterly increase.
Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow and Thiruvananthapuram contributed strongly to the yearly increase.
The RBI measures prices using records of registered home sales.
