AK-47 Recovered from Doctor's Locker Sparks Security Review in Kashmir Hospitals
Imagine a hospital has many small storage boxes, called lockers, for doctors to keep their things.
Recently, police found a real rifle hidden in one of these doctor's lockers at a hospital in Kashmir.
This made the hospital bosses very worried.
They are now telling all the doctors and staff to put their names on their lockers.
They also want to find any empty lockers that nobody is using.
This is to make sure that no one can hide dangerous things in the hospital lockers anymore.
It’s like a security check to keep everyone safe.
An AK-47 rifle and ammunition were recovered from a doctor's locker at GMC Anantnag.
The recovery prompted an order for the identification and labeling of all doctors' lockers in hospitals associated with GMC Srinagar.
Two doctors were arrested for allegedly being part of an interstate and transnational terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwatul Hind.
Hospital administrators are conducting inspections to clear out surplus lockers and improve security.
Employees must identify their lockers within three days, or they risk losing their claim to them.
