NMC Approves Two Bihar Medical Colleges, Adding 100 MBBS Seats
Bihar is getting two new medical colleges.
They are in Chhapra and Samastipur.
The National Medical Commission has allowed each college to start with 50 MBBS students.
Together, the colleges will add 100 approved seats from the 2026-27 academic year.
The colleges had originally applied for 100 seats each.
This means the approved number is smaller than the number requested.
The Bihar chief minister said the colleges will help students study medicine closer to home.
He also said they could help bring more doctors and better healthcare to patients.
