Supreme Court Gives Rajpal Yadav Two-Week Deposit Chance

Supreme Court Gives Rajpal Yadav Two-Week Deposit Chance

Rajpal Yadav borrowed Rs 5 crore to help make a film in 2010.

The company that provided the money says seven cheques used for repayment bounced.

It says the amount owed later grew to about Rs 11 crore with interest.

Courts convicted Yadav in seven cheque-bounce cases.

The Delhi High Court gave him a three-month prison sentence.

The Supreme Court has now given him two weeks to present a serious repayment plan.

He must deposit Rs 2 crore with the Supreme Court Registry.

He does not have to surrender until the next hearing on October 5, but he must submit his passport.
