Madhya Pradesh Aims for 500 GW Non-Fossil Energy by 2030

Madhya Pradesh is a large state in India.

Its leader, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, made an exciting promise about energy.

He said the state will try to make a huge amount of clean energy by the year 2030.

Clean energy, like solar power from the sun, does not pollute the air like coal and oil do.

The state already makes much more clean energy than it did twelve years ago.

Back then, it made 438 megawatts, and now it makes over 11,000 megawatts.

It has giant solar farms that turn sunlight into electricity.

One big solar farm sells electricity so cheaply that even Indian Railways, which runs the trains, buys it.

The leader even rode the Delhi Metro, a clean electric train, to show he cares about green transport.

Making lots of clean energy helps keep our planet healthy for everyone!
