Heritage Enthusiasts Explore Odisha's Mayurbhanj Palace
A group of about 50 people, called heritage enthusiasts, went on a walk to explore the Mayurbhanj Palace in Odisha.
The palace was once the capital of a princely state and has a unique architectural style similar to Buckingham Palace in England.
They learned about its construction, how the rulers governed, their religious beliefs, and the lifestyle of people from the past.
The palace has many rooms, including bedrooms, a Durbar Hall, and special administrative areas.
Today, the palace is also home to Maharaja Purna Chandra College.
The tour aimed to promote and protect the palace's heritage.
The Mayurbhanj Heritage Walks (MHW) hosted an exploration of the Mayurbhanj Palace.
Around 50 participants joined the 18th edition of MHW.
The palace was the last capital of the princely state.
Participants learned about the palace's architecture, history, and governance.
