Tamil Nadu Temples Enhance Security with Chennai Control Room
Imagine a special team watching over temples in Tamil Nadu.
They use lots of cameras in a control room to keep people safe.
This started in 2022, and they've already found lost kids and stopped thieves!
The control room has a lot of screens showing what's happening at 48 different temples.
They also have ex-soldiers working there to watch everything closely.
They make sure everyone is safe, help manage the crowds, and even watch the food being given out.
This team also keeps an eye on the elephants and cows that belong to the temples.
A control room monitors 48 Tamil Nadu temples via 3,057 CCTV cameras.
The control room, opened in January 2022, is located in Chennai.
49 ex-servicemen work in the control room.
The control room has helped recover valuables worth ₹3.19 crore.
The system has helped track missing children and prevent suicide attempts.
