Pawan Kalyan Vows to Connect Island Villages with Krishna River Bridge
A leader named Pawan Kalyan wants to build a new bridge over the Krishna River to connect two island villages, Etimoga and Edurumondi.
This is a long-awaited project that will soon become a reality.
He is also working on fixing important water gates, called sluices, that help control water and prevent flooding, which were not working well before.
He wants to make sure farmers who rent land to grow crops get paid fairly, especially after a cyclone.
Another road project is also waiting for permission to start.
Finally, he asked people to be kind and sensitive about the fees collected from visitors at a holy river spot.
Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan announced plans for a high-level bridge connecting Etimoga and Edurumondi island villages.
The bridge project, initially budgeted at ₹109 crore, may see a cost increase of around ₹60 crore due to design changes.
Kalyan directed officials to expedite the restoration of outfall sluices in the Avanigadda region, a ₹50 crore project funded by the national disaster management fund.
The Deputy CM urged for fair compensation for tenant farmers affected by the Montha cyclone.
A road project connecting Edurumondi and Gollamanda, sanctioned with ₹13.88 crore, is pending forest department clearance.
