Odisha Transfers Rs 25,800 Crore Under Subhadra Scheme

Odisha has a program called the Subhadra scheme to help women with money.

Women aged 21 to 60 can receive financial assistance through the program.

The total support is Rs 50,000 over five years.

Each year, beneficiaries receive Rs 10,000 in two payments.

The payments are made around International Women’s Day and Raksha Bandhan.

The government says more than 1.03 crore women have received money so far.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said the scheme helped many women become self-reliant through businesses.

The state is planning special celebrations to mark the scheme’s progress.
