Andhra Pradesh Appoints 227 Specialist Doctors to Government Hospitals
The government in Andhra Pradesh has hired 227 new doctors who are specialists in different areas.
These doctors will work in 142 hospitals that are not the main big city hospitals.
This is good because it means more people in different towns can see a doctor who knows a lot about a specific problem, like heart issues or surgery.
The health minister said this will help a lot because these hospitals needed more specialized doctors.
Some of the most needed doctors are for women's health and general medical care.
The new doctors are being sent to many types of hospitals, from smaller community health centers to larger district hospitals.
This is part of a plan to make sure everyone can get good healthcare closer to home.
Some doctors who finished their studies are still waiting for jobs in these hospitals, and 30 are currently teaching.
Andhra Pradesh government has appointed 227 specialist doctors to 142 secondary-level government hospitals.
These appointments aim to alleviate the shortage of specialists in public healthcare facilities.
The posted doctors are part of the in-service quota who recently completed postgraduate studies.
Specialists in gynaecology, general medicine, and general surgery received the highest number of postings.
The initiative intends to strengthen public healthcare services across various hospital types in the state.
