SC Issues Fresh Notices to Ambani, ADAG
The Supreme Court of India has sent new notices to Anil Ambani and his company group, ADAG.
This is because someone named E A S Sarma filed a complaint saying there was a lot of fraud involving banks and the company.
The court wants the CBI and ED, which are like India's top investigation agencies, to give updates on their investigations.
The court is giving Anil Ambani and ADAG a last chance to respond.
The person who filed the complaint says this might be the biggest fraud in India's history and that the investigations aren't looking into how banks might have helped.
The court will hear more about this in 10 days.
A lawyer named Prashant Bhushan is helping the person who filed the complaint.
The court has also asked the Bombay High Court to make sure the notices are delivered to Anil Ambani and ADAG.
The Supreme Court issued fresh notices to Anil Ambani and ADAG regarding a PIL alleging massive banking and corporate fraud.
The court asked the CBI and ED to file status reports on their ongoing probes within ten days.
The bench granted Anil Ambani and ADAG a last opportunity to file their responses.
The petitioner alleged that the probe agencies are not investigating the complicity of banks and their officials.
The PIL claims the case involves the largest corporate fraud in India's history, with the FIR registered in 2025 for fraud allegedly occurring since 2007-08.
