BEST Adds Mumbai Night Buses for Ganeshotsav 2026
BEST is Mumbai’s public bus service.
It will add more buses at night during Ganeshotsav 2026.
These extra buses will run from September 14 to September 24.
They are meant for people visiting Ganesh temples and public pandals.
The buses will travel through places such as Girgaon, Lalbaug, Parel and Dadar.
Daytime buses are usually considered enough, but nighttime crowds are expected to grow.
The plan may help people use public transport instead of private vehicles.
The festival will end with idol immersion celebrations on September 25.
BEST will operate additional night buses across Mumbai from September 14 to 24, 2026.
The services will support devotees and tourists visiting major Ganesh pandals during the festival.
Routes will connect Colaba with northwestern Mumbai through Girgaon, Lalbaug, Parel and Dadar.
Additional buses will run on routes E-8, E-21, E-25, E-42, E-44, 51, 64, 66 and 69.
Ganeshotsav will conclude with immersion processions on September 25, when large crowds are expected.
