Gorakhpur Man Loses Rs 15.20 Lakh in Facebook Cyber Fraud
A man named Indralal Jaiswal made a new friend on Facebook.
The friend called herself Charlotte Olivia and said she lived far away in the United States.
She said she worked in a country called Syria.
She told him she wanted to visit India.
Later, she said she had arrived at Delhi airport.
She claimed her luggage was stopped by officials and she needed money to get it back.
Jaiswal trusted her and sent a very large amount of money.
But she kept asking for even more money.
Then he realized it was a trick and told the police.
The police are now trying to find the person behind the scam.
