Chandigarh Hospitals to Install Porta Cabin Shelters
The Health Department in Chandigarh is planning to set up porta cabin shelters in government hospitals.
These are like small, temporary buildings that can be put up quickly.
They will have basic things like beds, lights, and protection from weather.
The idea is to help patients and their family members who have to stay at the hospital for a short time but can't afford to stay in a hotel or go home.
There will be a 25-bed shelter at the big hospital (GMSH-16) and 10-bed shelters at three smaller hospitals.
This will make things easier for people who come from far away or don't have much money.
