Trump Demands Iran Surrender as US-Iran Truce Expires

The United States and Iran have been fighting for five months.

Earlier this year, the two countries signed a special agreement to try to stop the fighting.

That agreement had a time limit, and it just ran out without anyone making a new one.

The American president, Donald Trump, told Iran to give up and raise a white flag, which is a sign of surrender.

He also said he might bomb a country called Oman if it gets in the way of reopening a very important waterway called the Strait of Hormuz.

The leader of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan, called Trump and asked him to try talking instead of fighting.

Iran says it has not decided whether to restart talks and may get ready to fight even harder.

Many people are worried about what will happen next.
