Nerul-Mumbai Ferry Service Launches December 15
A new ferry service will start on December 15 between Nerul and Bhaucha Dhakka in Mumbai.
This service will cut travel time from 90 minutes to just 30 minutes.
The fare is Rs 935 per passenger, and there will be four trips each day.
The ferry can carry 20 people at a time.
The terminal, which cost Rs 150 crore to build, has been mostly unused until now.
The operators plan to add water sports and a floating restaurant to attract more people.
They also want to take passengers to see flamingos at DPS Lake.
The terminal already has a service to Elephanta Island, but very few people have used it so far.
The ferry service was delayed because of shallow water and other issues, but now it's ready to start.
