L&T and General Atomics Partner for MALE UAV Production in India
Big companies L&T from India and General Atomics from the US are teaming up.
They will work together to build special drones, called MALE UAVs, right here in India.
These drones are used by the army for watching and fighting from far away.
L&T will be the main company building them, and General Atomics will provide the technology.
This means India will be able to make advanced drones itself, which is good for its own defense industry.
It also helps the government's plan to make more things in India.
These drones are already used by other countries and have flown for many hours on important missions.
The Indian Army is also planning to buy drones, and this partnership will help make that happen.
L&T and General Atomics have formed a partnership to manufacture MALE UAVs in India.
The collaboration aims to produce GA-ASI's MQ-series RPAS platforms entirely within India.
L&T will be the prime bidder for the Ministry of Defence's 87 MALE RPAS program, with GA-ASI as the technology partner.
This initiative supports India's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India' programs by enabling technology transfer and indigenous manufacturing.
The partnership is expected to significantly enhance India's defense capabilities and self-reliance in aerospace technologies.
