Amitabh Bachchan Defends 24-Hour Kaun Banega Crorepati Shoot Marathon
Amitabh Bachchan is a very famous Indian movie star and the host of a big TV quiz show called Kaun Banega Crorepati, which means "Who Will Become a Millionaire?"
He recently told people that he worked on the show for 24 hours without stopping.
His fans got worried because that is a very long time to work.
But Amitabh said he has to do it because that is how the show's schedule works.
He said, "If I don't work now, when will I?"
When someone asked if long hours could be bad for his health at his age, he said people should stop reminding him of his age.
He explained that work gives a person identity and a sense of self, and taking it away leaves a person with nothing.
He has hosted the show for 26 years and says every season brings new experiences and emotional meetings with fans.
He is thankful for the affection he received while ill in the hospital and believes the show's format is so strong that any anchor would have succeeded.
Amitabh Bachchan revealed he shot for Kaun Banega Crorepati for 24 hours at a stretch, leaving fans anxious.
He defended the marathon shoot, saying the show's schedules require it and asking, "If I don't work now, when will I?"
He rejected concerns about health hazards at his age, insisting work gives identity and keeps a person relevant.
Reflecting on his 26-year association with the show, he called every day and season a new experience.
He recalled emotional fan interactions, including during his hospitalisation, and credited the show's format and technical polish for its success.
