Rajasthan to Hold Simultaneous Municipal Elections by Year End
Rajasthan is planning to hold elections for all its city councils at the same time, like a big voting day across the whole state.
This is so all the city leaders are chosen around the same time.
They're making sure all the voting districts are drawn up properly and figuring out which jobs will be saved for specific groups like women.
This involves organizing voters lists, and deciding who can run.
The whole process should be finished by the end of the year, when the new local councils will take charge.
Rajasthan will hold elections for all 190 urban local bodies simultaneously.
Elections are scheduled between November 15 and December 15.
The delimitation process is expected to conclude by June.
Lotteries for reservations will be held in September.
The initiative aims to implement the 'one state, one election' model.
