Ahmedabad to Host 2030 Commonwealth Games with Accessibility and Sustainability Focus
Ahmedabad, a city in India, will host the Commonwealth Games in 2030, the first time India has hosted the event since 2010.
The city’s deputy chief minister, Harsh Sanghavi, said they want the Games to be very friendly for athletes with disabilities, making all hotels and transport accessible.
He also wants the Games to be very green, with all buses and trains running on electricity by 2030.
The city already has most of the buildings and roads needed, so only a small amount of work is needed.
They are also talking about adding cricket to the Games, but the final decision will be made by the Commonwealth Sport organization.
