Chrome Drops macOS 12 Monterey Support in 2026
Google Chrome will stop working on older Macs that use macOS 12 Monterey starting in July 2026.
This means these Macs won't get important updates to keep them safe.
The last version of Chrome that will work is Chrome 150.
After that, Chrome 151 will need macOS 13 Ventura or newer.
If you have an older Mac, you might want to switch to a newer Mac or use a different browser like Brave, Firefox, or Opera.
Using Chrome on these older Macs after July 2026 could be risky because you won't get security updates.
Google Chrome will no longer support macOS 12 Monterey starting July 2026.
Chrome 150 will be the last version compatible with macOS 12 Monterey.
Chrome 151, scheduled for July 28, 2026, will require macOS 13 Ventura or newer.
Older Intel-based Macs that cannot upgrade beyond Monterey will be affected.
Users can switch to alternative browsers like Brave, Firefox, or Opera for continued support.
