Enter Shikari Announce Indefinite Hiatus Amid Rou Reynolds Burnout
Enter Shikari says it will stop making music and touring regularly after 2027.
The band does not call this a breakup.
Instead, it plans to become dormant for an unknown amount of time.
Singer Rou Reynolds said burnout, OCD and nervous system sensitisation left him with very little capacity.
The group has been together for nearly three decades.
Before taking its break, it will play smaller shows and its biggest UK and European arena tour.
It also has festival dates planned in Europe and North America.
The band says it might return someday, but it does not know whether that will happen.
Enter Shikari will become dormant as a recording and performing band after 2027.
Frontman Rou Reynolds cited burnout, OCD and nervous system sensitisation for his reduced capacity.
The band said it is not splitting up, but has no plans beyond 2027.
They plan intimate warm-up shows in October and their biggest UK and European arena tour in November.
The band will mark anniversaries of three albums during planned 2027 festival and concert appearances.
