Supreme Court Seeks NTA Reform Details After NEET Leak

The Supreme Court is checking whether India’s exam agency is strong enough to conduct important tests.

The hearing came after the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.

The court asked the government to explain how it is using recommendations to improve the National Testing Agency.

It said an organisation with scientific expertise, like the UPSC, may be needed.

The government said the NTA already uses many security steps.

These include sealed question papers, cameras, security personnel and GPS-tracked vehicles.

The government also said people can still make mistakes even when procedures are strict.

Possible reforms include stronger technology, cybersecurity experts and less reliance on outsourced staff.
