Delhi Police Uncover Rs 30 Lakh Cyber Fraud Network
Police say a group used fake investment websites and online chats to trick a man into sending money.
The websites showed profits that were not real.
At first, the victim was allowed to make small withdrawals, which made the scheme seem trustworthy.
Later, he was asked to pay extra money for memberships, taxes and other services.
He eventually lost about Rs 30.06 lakh.
Police arrested Udit Tyagi, who allegedly helped manage bank accounts and move money.
Investigators say the network also involved foreign operators, cryptocurrency dealers and people running messaging-app groups.
Police are checking whether the group is connected to more than 35 other complaints.
