HCL Technologies to Launch TechFin Hub in GIFT City
HCL Technologies is building a new tech center in GIFT City, a special area in India.
This center, called a TechFin hub, will focus on technology for financial services.
It's like a new office where about 1,500 people will work on things like digital banking and trading.
HCL is joining other big tech companies, like Infosys and Cognizant, that have already set up similar centers in GIFT City because it has good infrastructure and attracts talented workers.
The center will get money from HCL's main office and will serve financial clients worldwide.
HCL Technologies plans to establish a TechFin hub in GIFT City, Gujarat.
The hub aims to employ 1,500 people and operate as a TechFin entity.
HCL's IFSC unit will be its first in Gujarat, funded by the head office.
GIFT City has attracted at least 18 fintech and techfin entities.
Infosys, Cognizant, and Wipro have also established or planned centers in GIFT City.
