Yogi Government Raises Ration Dealers’ Margin To ₹125 Per Quintal

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to give ration shop dealers more money for distributing food.

They will receive an extra ₹25 for every quintal of food grains handled.

This will bring their total margin to ₹125 per quintal, based on the figures in the article.

The change covers food distributed through two government food schemes.

Officials said dealers have many costs because food is delivered to shops in one stage.

The extra money is meant to help them keep more income for their families.

The new payment will start from July 2026.

The government expects the change to cost about ₹168.75 crore during the first nine months.
