CSMT to Add 15-Coach Local Services
The Central Railway is working to finish the extension of Platform 6 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) by March 2024.
This will allow them to add more 15-coach local train services.
Right now, there are 22 of these longer trains running daily from Platform 7.
After the extension, they plan to add 18 to 22 more of these services.
This is part of a bigger project to handle longer trains at the station.
They have already removed an old structure near Platform 7 and moved some operations to Platform 18 to make space for the new extension.
