NFR Upgrades Retiring Rooms at Guwahati Station
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has made the retiring rooms and dormitory at Guwahati Railway Station much better.
They now have air conditioning, comfy beds, and nice interiors.
The NFR gave the job of fixing and managing these rooms to a company through a competition.
This company will take care of everything for five years without any cost to the railway.
The NFR expects to make more money from this, around Rs 1.94 crore, because of the new arrangement.
This change is part of the railway's plan to make things better for passengers and use their buildings and money wisely.
NFR upgraded retiring rooms and dormitory facilities at Guwahati Railway Station.
The upgraded facilities include nine air-conditioned retiring rooms and a 12-bed dormitory.
The services have been outsourced through an open tender process for a five-year period.
The upgrade is expected to generate Rs 1.94 crore in non-fare revenue over the contract period.
The initiative aims to improve passenger comfort and station amenities while optimizing revenue.
