Delhi Hospital Introduces Steam Therapy for Enlarged Prostate

An enlarged prostate can make it hard for men to pass urine.

It can also cause frequent trips to the bathroom and disturbed sleep.

Fortis Hospital in Delhi has introduced a treatment called Rezūm water-vapour therapy.

Doctors use controlled steam to reduce extra prostate tissue.

This can help urine flow more easily.

The treatment usually does not need general anaesthesia.

Patients can often go home the same day.

The hospital says the treatment may be an option for some eligible patients instead of traditional surgery or long-term medicine.
