Congress Demands Probe After KDMC Gandhari Building Approval Controversy

Congress Demands Probe After KDMC Gandhari Building Approval Controversy

Congress says a building plan in Gandhari was approved using a notarised paper instead of a registered agreement.

The land reportedly belongs to Gopal Shankar Vayale.

Congress leader Kanchan Kulkarni questioned how the builder received permission.

She called for an FIR and a detailed investigation.

Congress also described the building as illegal and demanded its demolition.

KDMC has paused the development permission.

The municipal department also started removing the builder’s name from the permission records.

Town Planner Santosh Doiphode confirmed that these steps were taken because the document was not registered.

The controversy has renewed questions about how KDMC checks building documents.
