Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway Completion Pushed to July 2026
Imagine a new super-fast road connecting Bengaluru and Chennai.
This road, called an expressway, is almost done.
Right now, the drive takes a long time, about 5-6 hours!
But when the expressway opens, it'll only take 2 hours and 15 minutes.
This new road is expensive, costing a lot of money to build.
The project was supposed to be finished sooner, but there were some problems like getting the land ready and figuring out how to build through difficult areas.
Even with these issues, this expressway will make it easier for people to travel and for businesses to move goods between the two cities, helping both places.
The Bengaluru-Chennai expressway is nearing completion.
The project will reduce travel time between the cities to 2 hours 15 minutes.
The 262 km expressway is costing Rs 15,188 crore.
The project is delayed, now expected to finish by July 2026.
Delays stem from land acquisition, technical issues, and environmental clearances.
