House Releases Epstein Emails Referencing Trump
Someone named Jeffrey Epstein, who did bad things, had many emails that are now being released by the government.
Some emails, shared by Democrats, show Epstein talking about Donald Trump.
In one email, Epstein told a reporter that Trump 'knew about the girls.'
In another, he told someone else that Trump was with a victim at his house many times.
Democrats want to release even more documents.
However, Trump and his friends say these emails are fake news meant to distract people.
They released a lot of other emails from Epstein too.
Trump says he didn't know about Epstein's bad actions.
The government is going to vote soon on whether to release even more secret files about Epstein.
House Democrats released emails from Jeffrey Epstein suggesting Donald Trump had knowledge of his sex trafficking activities.
Epstein, in a 2019 email to Michael Wolff, stated 'Of course he knew about the girls,' referring to Trump.
In a 2011 email to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein called Trump 'the dog that hasn’t barked' and mentioned a victim spending time with him at his house.
House Republicans released approximately 20,000 more Epstein emails following the Democrats' initial release.
A House vote is scheduled to compel the Justice Department to release its separate collection of Epstein-related documents, despite Trump calling the releases a 'hoax'.

Epstein Documents Release and Content
Democrats
Democrats released emails suggesting Trump had knowledge of Epstein's sex trafficking activities, with one email from Epstein to Michael Wolff stating 'Of course he knew about the girls.' Another email from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell called Trump 'the dog that hasn’t barked' and noted Virginia Giuffre 'spent hours at my house with him.' Democrats initiated the release of a small batch of emails and are pushing for the Justice Department to release its own trove of Epstein-related documents.
Republicans/Trump Allies
Republicans and Trump allies claim the emails are a 'distraction' and a 'hoax' intended to hurt Trump, asserting that Trump 'did nothing wrong.' They responded to the Democrats' limited release by also releasing about 20,000 more Epstein emails subpoenaed from his estate. Some in Trump's base believe more critical documents are still held by the FBI and Justice Department.
Trump's Awareness of Epstein's Conduct
Democrats
Emails from Epstein suggest he believed Trump was aware of his activities, and media reports indicate Trump's past statements and involvement in a book for Epstein's birthday previously undercut his claims of not knowing about Epstein's conduct.
Republicans/Trump Allies
The White House maintains that the released emails 'prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.' Trump has consistently asserted he did not know about Epstein’s conduct.
