AAP, SAD accused of spreading myths on rural election performance
Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the president of the Punjab Congress, said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) are spreading false information about how well they did in the recent rural elections.
He explained that AAP actually won fewer seats than they claimed, and SAD did not perform as well as they said.
Warring also mentioned that AAP used unfair methods to win some seats, like stopping other candidates from filing their papers.
He showed detailed numbers to support his claims and said that the Congress party did almost as well as AAP in the elections.
He also made fun of SAD leaders for saying the elections helped their party, when in reality, they did not do very well.
AAP and SAD accused of spreading myths about their performance in rural elections.
AAP claimed to win 220 zila parishad seats but actually won 136, with many wins due to manipulation.
Congress won 62 zila parishad seats, SAD won 46, and BJP won 7.
AAP claimed to win 1,592 block samiti seats but actually won 838, with many wins due to abuse of power.
Congress won 603 block samiti seats, SAD won 420, and BJP won 66.
