China Posts Record Trade Surplus
China recently made a big milestone by having a trade surplus of over one trillion dollars for the first time.
This means they sold more things to other countries than they bought.
Even though they sold less to the United States, they sold more to other places, which helped them reach this big number.
The leader of France, Emmanuel Macron, said that Europe might have to put extra taxes on Chinese things if China doesn't fix the big difference in trade.
China is also trying to make their trade more balanced and is meeting to plan their economy for next year.
They want to grow by five percent in 2024.
India also had some changes in what they sell to the US, with some things going up and others going down.
China recorded an annual trade surplus above $1 trillion for the first time.
Strong exports to markets outside the United States offset weakening US demand.
US-bound exports declined by 28.6% in November, while overall exports grew by 5.9%.
French President Emmanuel Macron warned that the EU may impose tariffs if China does not narrow its trade imbalance.
China's leadership is preparing economic strategies to aim for 5% growth in 2024.
