Mumbai Commuter Dies After Alleged Push During Seat Dispute

A 62-year-old passenger died after falling from a moving Mumbai local train.

The fall happened after an argument about who should sit in a special coach.

That coach is reserved for passengers with disabilities.

The train was traveling between Mahim and Bandra stations.

The incident happened at about 1:22 pm on Thursday.

The Railway Protection Force said one passenger allegedly pushed the other.

Officials have not provided further details about the people involved.

This is the third reported death on Mumbai’s suburban railway this year linked to a passenger dispute.
