Vrindavan Businessman Allegedly Duped of Rs 30 Lakh in Scam

A businessman in Vrindavan says someone called him pretending to be an ATS officer.

The caller claimed his wife’s phone number was connected to a crime.

The caller demanded Rs 30 lakh.

For three days, the businessman was watched on audio and video calls and told not to talk to anyone.

He says he was afraid and kept the calls secret from family and friends.

He transferred the money on October 1.

His son later suspected that it was a scam and made an online complaint.

Police registered a case on October 3 and said they had put Rs 15 lakh on hold.

Police said they were tracing the people responsible.
