Nepal Schoolchildren Sacrifice Pocket Money for Flood Victims

Floods in Nepal destroyed homes, separated families and damaged schools.

Many children in places far from the floods wanted to help.

Some gave up their snack money, while others donated savings or pocket money.

Students at several schools collected money from their classmates.

One school in Achham raised NPR 14,255.

Another school in Kapilvastu raised NPR 10,050.

Children in Rautahat and another school in Mangalsen also donated money.

The donations were placed in government relief funds.

The children showed that even small gifts can help people who are suffering.
