Usman Tariq Posts Cryptic Message After Pakistan Squad Omissions
Pakistan announced teams for upcoming cricket matches at home.
Usman Tariq was not picked for either team.
Soon afterward, he shared a message about staying quiet when your ego wants to speak.
He did not say that the message was about being left out.
Some fans thought it might be a comment about the decision.
Tariq had taken 10 wickets for Pakistan at the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Pakistan also chose Sahibzada Farhan as its new T20I captain.
Salman Ali Agha was left out of that team.
Pakistan left spinner Usman Tariq out of its T20I squad against Sri Lanka and its ODI tri-series squad featuring England and Sri Lanka.
After the squad announcements, Tariq posted, “The hardest part of wisdom is learning to stay silent when Ego wants to speak.”
He did not directly link the post to his omission; some fans interpreted it as a swipe at the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Tariq took 10 wickets in six matches at the 2026 T20 World Cup, finishing as Pakistan’s leading wicket-taker.
Pakistan also appointed Sahibzada Farhan as T20I captain, replacing Salman Ali Agha, who was left out of the squad.
