Iran Conducts Military Drills in Gulf
Iran recently held big military practice sessions in the Gulf.
They launched many different types of missiles at pretend targets.
This happened after a recent fight between Israel and Iran.
Iran also did some practice with other countries to show they can work together and defend against terrorism.
The practice was to show they are ready for any threats and to send a message to other countries.
Some countries see Iran's missiles as a big concern for the region's safety.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards Navy conducted a two-day military exercise in the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman, launching various ballistic and cruise missiles at simulated targets.
The exercise followed a 12-day air war between Israel and Iran in June 2024, during which the U.S. joined Israel in striking Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Iran previously hosted an anti-terrorism drill in its northwestern province of East Azerbaijan with members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
The SCO exercises aimed to enhance coordination among member and partner states, including China, Russia, India, Pakistan, and several Central Asian countries, with observers like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Azerbaijan participating.
The West views Iran’s ballistic missiles as both a conventional military threat to regional stability and a potential delivery mechanism for nuclear weapons.
